la GALERIE IMAGINAIRE was founded by Sébastien Delire, an artist, gallery owner, and curator, driven by an continuous search for authenticity through art and spirituality.

After years of artistic practice, Delire paused his career in 2010 to co-found and co-direct D+T PROJECT Gallery in Brussels. In 2012, he launched Delire Gallery, embracing an independent and exploratory approach. However, in 2015, inspiring conversations with artists like Gianni Motti and an invitation from Nico Dockx, led him to make a transformative decision: to leave his gallery, home, and life in Brussels to embrace a nomadic existence. This marked the birth of la GALERIE IMAGINAIRE, a space for artistic exploration free from physical walls, where each exhibition interacts with its unique location.

Over the years, Delire has facilitated artistic encounters in profound and symbolic settings:
the spiritually charged ghats of Varanasi, to the remote mountains of Colombia, engaging closely with the Kogi and Arhuaco tribes. In 2020, he founded Casa Sarayu amidst the lush nature of Mindo, Ecuadora project that in 2024, relocated to a century-old house in Castelló de Rugat, Spain. Casa Sarayu became a sanctuary where private life, meditation, and creation converge, occasionally hosting exhibitions through GALLERY/ NO GALLERY.

In 2022, Delire expanded this vision by launching GALLERY/ NO GALLERY in Quito, continuing his exploration of the interplay between art and space.

This ongoing journey embodies a continuous transformation shaped by travel, meditation and human connections.
