la GALERIE IMAGINAIRE was initiated by Sébastien Delire (1974), artist, gallerist, curator, driven by an ongoing search for authenticity through art and spirituality.

After several years of artistic practice, he paused his career in 2010 to co-found and co-direct D+T PROJECT Gallery in Brussels. In 2012, he founded Delire Gallery, adopting an independent exploratory approach. In 2015, following conversations with artists like Gianni Motti and under the invitation of Nico Dockx, Delire made a transformative decision: to leave his gallery, home, and life in Brussels for a nomadic curatorial project. This led the creation of la GALERIE IMAGINAIRE: a space for artistic exploration, unconstrained by physical walls or traditional boundaries, where each exhibition interacts with the unique characteristics of its location.

Through this approach, Delire facilitated artistic dialogues in varied settings, from the spiritually charged ghats of Varanasi to the remote mountains of Colombia, engaging with the Kogi and Arhuaco tribes. In 2020, he founded Casa Sarayu in the lush nature of Mindo, Ecuador, which he relocated in 2024 to a century-old house in Castelló de Rugat, Spain. Casa Sarayu became a place where private life, meditation, and creation converge, hosting occasionally exhibitions through GALLERY/ NO GALLERY.

In 2022, GALLERY/ NO GALLERY was initiated in Quito, continuing the exploration of art and space.

This ongoing journey is a testament to his continuous transformation, shaped by travel, meditation, and human encounters.
