NO GALLERY is pleased to present David
Horvitz, starting December 7, 2024, at Casa Sarayu in Castelló de Rugat, Spain.
For
his
second exhibition with GALLERY/
NO GALLERY, David Horvitz presents a new work in the form of a unique haiku, written in his garden in Los Angeles. Composed
of 11 individual words, the artist mailed each word of the haiku to Castelló de Rugat. However, five of the cards did not arrive and were returned to the artist, resulting in an edited haiku—a new poem shaped by delays and postal service errors. This situation led to the creation of two new works: one that was received and one that was returned.
David
Horvitz will continue to send this newly edited poem in various languages, with each version being unique and gradually revealed as it arrives.
GALLERY/ NO GALLERY is hosted at Casa Sarayu, Sébastien Delire’s private retreat—a space dedicated to slowness, transformation, and language through meditation and contemporary art. Casa Sarayu is where meditation meets art.
Visits are by appointment only, with a maximum of one or two visitors at a time, ensuring an intimate and contemplative experience.
